In 2023 at Rosa Bonheur exhibit at Musée d'Orsay, I learned that paintings of animals are not historically taken seriously as works of art, and that women artists are also significantly underrecognized. It was a joy to see both being honored for Rosa's 200th birthday. When looking from a scientific persepctive, people are animals and are a part of nature. It is widening this perspective of interconnectedness, that interests me.
